About Millicent Dwyer

Millicent Dwyer is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in painting and ceramics. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, she draws inspiration from the city's rich culture, vibrant energy, and creative spirit. A graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Millicent earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting, where she refined her distinctive artistic voice. Her painting, Cherry on Top, was featured and sold during SCAD's annual Open Studio Night—one of Atlanta's premier art sales events.

Working primarily in portraiture and abstraction, Millicent is known for her bold use of color and expressive compositions. Vibrant hues serve as the foundation of her work, creating visual narratives that explore emotion, identity, and human connection. Rather than assigning a single meaning, she invites viewers to interpret the emotional language of each piece through their own experiences.

Her artistic practice extends beyond the canvas into ceramics, where she blends painterly storytelling with functional design. Many of her ceramic pieces feature the same expressive faces and organic forms found in her paintings, resulting in work that feels both sculptural and deeply personal.
